Since my job affords me the opportunity to travel the world, (which, if you’re an avid “Saif Travels” reader, you already know), I recently got to go to the exciting Brisbane, Australia! While there, I had a few days of not working, where I was able to explore the city, and I would like to share some of what I did here with you!

Explore Brisbane

I had a great time walking around Brisbane, since it’s a very walkable, metropolitan city. I also met up with my cousin Eddie, who has been living in Sydney for a year or so. It was awesome to see a family member on the complete opposite side of the world!

Visit Byron Bay

Byron Bay is a beautiful seaside destination on the infamous gold coast of Australia. I really enjoyed this location.

Check out local wildlife

You may be able to see some wildlife in the wild if you get out of the city, but if you don’t have that opportunity, you can check out your nearest wildlife sanctuary or conservancy. I experienced a bit of both & got to see kangaroos, koalas, emus & many other animals.

I know this blog was short and sweet, but I did not have that much free time, so I only got a glimpse of the land down under. I will definitely be back to explore much more.
