Zanzibar – Beaches, Diving, and Stone Town

Zanzibar is an island off the coast of Tanzania. The island features crystal clear blue waters, white sand beaches and an old city area called Stown Town.

I arrived in Zanzibar airport early in the morning. I arranged transport with Zanziworld Tours. The cost was reasonable compared to what the hotels charge for transport services. I arrived at my resort (Lux Marijani) before check-in so I spent my morning on the beach and at the pool.

In the afternoon I checked into my room which was amazing. I opted for a room with an ocean view.

The rest off the day was spent relaxing, after a long flight I was pretty tired.

The next day I had a two-tank scuba dive at the popolar Mnemba Atol of the coast of Zanzibar with a small local shop by the name of ZanziOcean.. The dives were amazing. I saw some amazing marine life during my two dives.

After my dives I spent the rest of the day enjoying the resort.

The next day I had a full resort day. More of the same, spending time on the beach and at the pool.

On Day 4 I decided to spend the day in Stone town before my early morning flight the next day. Stone town was pretty fun. First thing I did in stone town was wander around Darijani Market.

After the Market I wandered the streets to get a feel of old stone town and to see all the decorative doors.

Once it got dark, I made my way to the famous night market Forodhani Gardens Night Market. The night market is setup on the pier with a ton of street vendors selling all kinds of different foods.

After leaving the night market I headed to the airport to conclude my time in Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a great place to rest, relax, and experience a unique culture shaped by the spice trade routes. Thank you for reading, and as always Saif Travels!
